What a challenging year 2024 has been for the staff and patients of Safari & Tiger Ward!
This year has seen an increased admission of young people with life-threatening conditions as well as young people with a wider range of medical challenges.
Working on the ward means not only engaging with the young people themselves but getting to know and supporting their families as well.
Staff support families in more than a medical capacity to ensure they are able to keep their focus on the immediate medical needs of their young person. Educational support has become an integral part of the ward provision.
