The Nest Arts Award group were lucky to welcome a special guest from the fashion industry, Suzanne Addo, who works as a designer at Alexander McQueen.
During the visit, students learned about the fashion industry and had the opportunity to ask questions about her career journey and creative process.
Students were excited to see and hear how garments are developed, from initial ideas through to final designs, as well as learning about the techniques used within a high-end fashion house. The session was inspiring and gave students a real insight into careers in fashion and design.
We are especially fortunate that Suzanne Addo has kindly promised to return to teach more intricate sewing skills in a future workshop.
