Mediorite Workshop Brings Creative Spark to Our Students

We were thrilled to welcome Mediorite, an award-winning video production social enterprise, into school last week for a fully immersive media workshop. Mediorite specialise in producing high-impact video content while training and employing young people across the UK.

During the session, Mediorite worked with our students to re-create the music video for Radiohead’s iconic song “Creep” but in a way that gave each student a real taste of the full production process. Some students took on roles in front of the camera, acting and performing. Others worked behind the scenes, planning shots, producing, directing, and operating the camera. A group also handled post-production, editing the footage, arranging cuts, and crafting the final narrative.

The atmosphere was electric. Students collaborated seamlessly, rising to the challenge with energy and creativity. By the end of the day, they had built a finished product, a short music video, that showcased not only their enthusiasm but also the high level of professionalism Mediorite encouraged.

Equally important, the workshop also offered a powerful careers element. Mediorite’s team spoke with students about a variety of roles in the media industry; production, filming, editing, producing, and more. They explained how their own social enterprise works, blending creative excellence with real social impact and how young people can build careers in the sector.
One of the standout things about Mediorite is their purpose, every project they do helps train and employ young creatives. Their mission perfectly aligned with our own goals of providing students with hands-on, future-focused experiences.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to the Mediorite team for their time, expertise, and inspiration. Our students not only learned technical skills but also gained confidence, teamwork experience, and a clearer sense of potential career pathways.

We look forward to more partnerships like this in the future, helping students bring their creativity to life, and opening doors into the creative industries.
