King’s Park students returned to Meadows Care Home in Kidbrooke on Monday 15th December for the second year running.
Students confidently got up to sing karaoke alongside the residents, who joined in by playing musical instruments, singing Christmas carols, and enjoying the music together. Everyone had a lovely and fun time, and the atmosphere was amazing.
We were extremely grateful for the opportunity. It is fantastic that our students are able to go out into the community and work alongside people of all ages and abilities. We have been invited to return on a weekly basis to take part in the care home’s karaoke sessions. Additionally, if we had any sixth form students, they would be welcome to attend for work experience with the chef.
The visit was greatly appreciated. Our students were well behaved and were a real credit to King’s Park School.
