The Kings Park GCSE Art Students went on a site visit to the Barbican Estate in the City of London on Friday the 7th of February.
Students chose this famous landmark to meet the needs of their various projects. Kayleigh (year 11) went to meet the need of her GCSE Exam theme, Construction, whilst Emmy (year 10) used the opportunity for a fashion shoot and Josh (year 10) explore dystopian / fantasy cityscapes in the style of Paul Noble.
Despite the cold and wet weather, or intrepid students spent time considering each shot and gaining a beautiful collection of photographs that will support their GCSE portfolios and help boost their grades. The staff on the trip felt proud to be seen with our Newhaven students who were exemplary. Their respect for both the environment and the people within them was superb and the art department look forward to taking them on more trips soon.
