Nat Amoore stopped off at Newhaven School Library to meet NEST and AC students.
Nat, who is on tour from Australia, visited two classes and entertained us with a hilarious look at some of the highlights of her life so far.
Students wrote up wonderful reviews after the visit as these snippets show:
“During the workshop I had asked her if she had a pet kangaroo. I thought this would be a funny question but she actually did have a pet kangaroo when she was a child.” (Charlie)
“Because she has had so many rare experiences, this has made her stories full of adventures and out of the box storylines.” (Beth)

“The bit I enjoyed most was when she shared pictures of her adventures. It was memorable because we got to meet a famous author for the first time.” (Summer)

An AC student told Nat that he is reading every day because he is grounded and his mobile is confiscated. (That’s how to do it!) He has another title for his collection now as each student chose one of Nat’s books signed especially for them.
Her high energy delivery gave us insights into her adventurous spirit; she has worked as a circus trapeze artist, TV game show contestant, film maker and in the music industry. Then she discovered fiction writing.
You can find out more about Nat and her books on her website. She also hosts a podcast on Spotify ‘For Everyone Who Loves Kid’s Books’.
