This week, our students had the incredible opportunity to visit Winter Wonderland for their special Winter Wishes day, a dedicated event designed to give young people and community groups a completely free and joy-filled festive experience.
Winter Wishes is all about creating magical memories, removing cost barriers, and ensuring every child can enjoy the full excitement of Winter Wonderland without worry.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing with festive spirit. Because everything was free for the students, they were able to make the absolute most of the day — and they certainly did!
We spent the morning exploring the attractions and jumping on as many rides as we could. The students’ laughter echoed around the park as they spun, soared, and whizzed through the frosty air. To warm up, we enjoyed plenty of hot chocolate, which was very much needed as the weather was freezing but spirits stayed high despite the cold.
One of the biggest highlights was ice skating, where students glided (and occasionally wobbled!) around the rink with huge smiles on their faces. The combination of twinkling lights, festive music, and excited chatter made it a truly magical experience.
And no trip would be complete without a bit of competition. We even managed to win a massive red panda plush, which quickly became the star of the day and a favourite among the group.
Despite the chilly temperatures, everyone had an absolutely fantastic time.
The day was filled with fun, laughter, and unforgettable moments. We’re incredibly grateful for the Winter Wishes initiative and the generosity behind it, which ensured our students could enjoy such a special festive outing.
