We are incredibly proud to share that a group of our students had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend BGC Charity Day 2025 – not just as spectators, but as Guests of Honour of the Mayor of London, representing the Mayor’s Fund for London.
Held annually in memory of the 658 BGC colleagues lost in the 9/11 attacks, BGC Charity Day sees the company donate 100% of its global revenues from the day to a wide range of charities. It’s an extraordinary event that brings together celebrities, public figures, and finance professionals, all rallying together for great causes.
Our students had the honour of meeting the Mayor of London, who gave them a personal tour of the bustling trading floor. They watched as he made trades on behalf of charities and even got to speak with traders about careers in the financial sector—a truly eye-opening experience.
But the excitement didn’t stop there! Our students rubbed shoulders with a whole host of famous faces including Conor Benn, Anthony Joshua, Tom Hardy, Hugh Grant, Gareth Southgate, and even Sam Thompson, the reigning King of the Jungle from I’m A Celeb! One of our lucky students even took part in a live animal demonstration alongside Sam and a very cute sugar glider!
From delicious sweet treats to free haircuts provided by the Movember Charity, the day was filled with fun, laughter, and inspiration. It was a moment of immense pride to see our staff and students featured on the Mayor of London’s official social media—a true testament to the way our young people carried themselves with confidence, curiosity, and kindness throughout the day.
This was more than just a fun day out, it was a powerful and unforgettable experience that celebrated the importance of giving back, opened doors to new career aspirations and showed just how brilliantly our students represent our school community.
