The QEH school room and play team worked together to bring a smile to faces across QE hospital site.
As part of the school room’s literacy drive, the team handed out books instead of tokens, allowing young people to immediately engage with the book and reading.
This year, for the first time, the team handed books out in the neo-natal unit.

Mum: “Thank you for including us.”
Carly HLTA: “All the mums were really grateful, one of the mums immediately began reading to her baby and another took a book for a sibling so they could also be part of the experience.”
