Dear Parents and Carers,
Dates for your diaries
As we head towards the Christmas break, I just wanted to give you the heads up re some dates between now and early January. Also, can parents and carers (particularly of the Gardens site) continue to do all you can with making sure students get to school on time. Punctuality has been poor the last few weeks and we’re reminding students, especially those in year 11, that we have to write references for college, apprenticeships and work and we cannot lie on them about punctuality! The dates are:
- INSET Day – Friday 13th December – school closed for students.
- Christmas Dinner – Wednesday 18th December – for students and staff.
- Last day of term – Friday 20th December – school shuts at 12.00pm after an end of term assembly; students will also get end of term reports which will be emailed to you.
- INSET Day – Monday January 6th – school closed for students
- Term starts – Tuesday 7th January – school reopens for students at 9am
- Year 11 Parents/Carers Evening – Thursday 9th January from 4pm-6pm. Attendance at this is really important with only 5 months to go until main public exams start.
