On Wednesday 7th February a group of Art students visited the British Academy of Jewellery in Chalk Farm.
The Academy is a specialist jewellery and educated institution that was previously based in Hatton Garden. They now have sites over the country offering P16 and Higher Education courses for students specialising in this field.
The trip gave students the opportunity to explore career options that they otherwise may not have considered and gain an understanding about the full range of courses on option.
We also were led in a workshop to create some of our own jewellery to give students some hands on experience which all students thoroughly enjoyed!
Following the visit we have had a few students interested in considering this as a future pathway.
