Welcome to News-Haven, our new termly newsletter which will keep you up to date with what is going on at Newhaven.
The idea has come from the fact that whilst we make regular contact with parents and carers, we feel that this is often about health or behavioural things and not often enough about the rich curriculum on offer at the school. News-Haven is here to balance this up.
It’s been a very busy term at school with lots of things happening. Our curriculum focus this year has been to develop the practical side of the Key Stage 3 curriculum, include more real life learning and educational visits, and to develop students’ literacy and numeracy skills rapidly.
We are also really concentrating over the next few weeks in making sure that all year 11s and 6th formers who are sitting exams are as ready as possible.
