Four new books on ‘The Planet We Share’
The Newhaven School Library Blog by Carole, the Librarian
This blog shares my love of books, stories and information. I’ll keep you up to date with new books and dates to celebrate. I’ll tell you more about the Newhaven libraries and book collections at Gardens, Kings Park, NEST and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital School Room.
Reading is a powerful tool in the box for life. It gives you words to express yourself and vocabulary to help you argue your case.
If you’d like my help choosing books drop in to see me when I am in your library. Look out for new dates and times in 2021. Or you can email me at librarian@newhavenschool.co.uk

National Non-Fiction November
National Non-Fiction November is the Federation of Children’s Book Groups’ annual celebration of all things factual.
This year the theme is ‘The Planet We Share’. We celebrate with four new books on the subject, available in Gardens Library and to reserve.
Try this National Geographic website. It is full of facts, films, competitions and quizzes about nature and our planet.
There are also one hundred ‘best’ non-fiction books listed here: http://fcbg.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/NNFN-list-2020-final.pdf
Ask me if you want to know more about finding information books on our library shelves.
