Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been a really positive start to the new term at King’s Park, and we have enjoyed welcoming back our existing students and meeting our new cohort. The next few weeks will be spent establishing routines and relationships in order to support our students in the classroom and the wider school community. Please let us know if you would like to discuss any aspect of this with us; contact Chloe on reception in the first instance and she will arrange this for you.
At King’s Park we undertake lots of specialised training throughout the year. Each year all staff take part in de-escalation training as it is key to keeping our students safe in school. This is scheduled to happen on 24th September this year and we will need to send students home at 11.30am on that day to accommodate this. Students who use borough transport will come to school as usual in the morning, then will be collected from school at 11.30am and taken home. I apologise for the inconvenience and as I appreciate how important routine is, particularly this early in the term.
Thank you for your support with this.
Yours faithfully
Tania Peach
