Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to let you know about the arrangements for exam results day on the 12th August 2021. Results will be available at Newhaven Gardens (SE9 6HR) for students from all sites from 10.00am until 12.00pm on Thursday 12th August. Please arrive at the main reception. There will be staff available to support and advise on next steps towards college and to celebrate our students’ successes.
The school went through an extremely rigorous process before submitting the Teacher Assessed Grades to the exam board but there is a right of appeal, if you feel the final grade does not reflect the evidence your child was able to submit. This is a two stage process (see attached flow chart). The first stage is to check for an admin error on our part and the second is to check with the exam board that we have made a sound academic judgement. Requests for an appeal should be emailed to the info@newhaven.greenwich.sch.uk email address before the end of the 1st September 2021. We will review for an admin error and then contact you that week with the outcome. You will then decide if you wish to proceed with a Stage 2 appeal and let us know by Monday 8th September 2021.
